Welcome to my info site. The three links to the left serve as a quick guide to the recent developments in my research, overall project descriptions, funding agencies and publications (including other research topics). Have a look around and any questions can be directed to any of the contact info options below (email is usually the best bet). Thanks

EducationB.S. Civil Engineering, University of New Mexico (May, 2004) M.S. Civil Engineering, University of New Mexico (May, 2005) About MeI'm originally from the small mining town of Absarokee Montana. If you've ever been to Montana you can probably relate to me pretty well (fishing, camping, just the outdoors in general are some of my favorite times). I moved from Montana to Boise Idaho about halfway through High School. Soon after, I started in the Engineering Program at Boise State University. I have to say I'm still a Broncos Football fan at heart. I stayed at Boise State for 2 years and then transferred to the University of New Mexico where I finished my undergraduate and master's degrees in Civil Engineering. My graduate research at UNM consisted of investigating the use of fiber reinforced composites as primary mirror structures for space-based telescopes. After completing my master's degree this last summer (May 2005), I enrolled in Cornell University to begin a PhD program in Structures. My main interest in Engineering has always been Mechanics, but my UNM research got me interested in Aerospace applications. At Cornell I've found a great fit that satisfies both of my main interests, where I will be investigating damage progression and residual strength of man-portable air defense attack (MANPAD) damaged aircraft structures using FEM and Fracture Mechanics Analysis and Simulation.
